Concept
StageCraft
Theatre School has one central aim: to enable all children to experience
the fun, excitement, and challenge of performing while developing their
own talents, strengths, and qualities. For this reason we accept all
children, whatever their ability or experience. All that we require
is energy and enthusiasm!!
The education
that the children receive must be interesting, varied, and totally involving.
We want our children to look forward to attending each class and to
gain a real sense of achievement from them.
School
Structure
Our aim
is to train children and young adults, aged 4 to 16 years, in Performance
Arts. We offer the opportunity to learn three skills: Dance, Drama,
and Singing. Students will rotate between classes enabling them
to study each specialization. The classes are all taught by experienced
teachers,
many of whom have been or still are professionals in this business and
all are highly qualified in teaching or performing.
All of
our teachers are carefully chosen by the principal for their experience
in working with children, as well as for their talent. The
principal will always be on hand to lead the staff, manage
the children, and liaise with parents. Each class will consist of children
of similar age.
Performing
is our main focus as we take children on the journey from audition through
rehearsal to the final performance, involving all pupils in every aspect
of performing, and creating confident, well-prepared individuals.
School
Rules and Conduct
Behaviour:
StageCraft has a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying of any kind.
Respect, courtesy, and mutual support must be shown in a full circle
among staff, instructors, and fellow students alike.
Uniform:
The correct uniform (especially footwear) must be worn to class at all
times for the safety of the students.
Time
keeping: Our StageCraft instructors and venues are not responsible
for students before and after class. Please ensure your child arrives
and is collected on time.
Attendance:
Please inform the office in advance if your child will be absent from
a class. Absenteeism is very disruptive, so please ensure your child
does not miss more than 3 classes.
Guests:
For the safety and comfort of our students, observation of classes by
parents or guests is not permitted unless special permission has been
granted by the Artistic Director.
